Yes Responsibilities & Duties:
Management Develop and implement a professional development program for the grower education team Grower Education Direct the development and implementation of training programs for strawberry growers and their employees.
Direct the Commission s supervisor training programs Grower Communication Spanish Communication Coordinate Spanish language communications to our industry for the Commission Coordinate the translation of technical and regulatory information into Spanish for grower communication Coordinate oral translation at field days, grower meetings and other Commission activities as needed
Qualifications:
A BS or MS degree in a field relevant to adult education or grower communications or at least 5 years experience in adult education or grower communications Two years of applied experience in education and communications Strong written and spoken communication skills Enjoy working in the field and interacting with growers and industry representatives Bilingual and bi-literate (English and Spanish) Competency using a computer to prepare reports and presentations (MS programs:
Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a willingness to learn additional skills Be able to work independently and proactively while maintaining a strong team perspective Be able to travel extensively within California to the strawberry production regions to attend and participate in meetings and educational programs with occasional travel nationally Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Monterey Bay area.
Locating office in the Santa Maria or Ventura areas is negotiable.
