JOB TITLE:
Maintenance & Facilities Assistant REPORTS TO:
Maintenance & Facilities Manager GENERAL DUTIES:
- Assist with Maintenance & Repairs for the MacKenzie Clubhouse and Hollins House SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Perform electrical repairs in community areas, including lights.
Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed.
Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building.
Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate - 2-3 or more years of maintenance or related experience - Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail - Strong communication skills - Ability to work without supervision and follow specific instructions where appropriate - Capable of handling emergency calls as they arise - Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization - Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds - Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) codes and regulations.
- Knowledge and use of many types of power tools - Proficient in use of internet/e-mail, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
