Ecology Action of Santa Cruz, CA is looking to hire a full-time Accounts Receivable Accountant to efficiently and accurately create complex invoices on our accounting team.

If so, please read on!A DAY IN THE LIFEAs an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you are responsible for working with stakeholders across Ecology Action to create complex internal and external invoices for customers.
This position requires a high level of curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex data sets in Excel by using pivot tables, v-lookup, and x-lookup, etc.
You are a problem solver.
Using your excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude, you closely interact with team members of Ecology Action and Taper, Ecology Action's B-Corp subsidiary, which requires complex invoicing and accounts receivable processes.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATORA minimum of 5 years' related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifyingFull cycle accounting experience, preferably with construction accounting, non-profit accounting and GAAPCuriosity and continued commitment to learningAbility to incorporate humor in day-to-day routine Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and proceduresProficiency with at least one accounting software package, preferably QuickBooksAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with complex formulas, large data sets, pivot tablesExperience working in both non-profit and for-profit organizationsARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that you would be right for this environmental nonprofit job, please fill out our initial 3-minute, mobile-friendly application.
