Under general supervision, supervises, trains and coordinates Retail staff in assigned area, working as a team leader geared to providing excellent guest service.
Maintains a high level of professional conduct.
Assures that staff provide excellent service to guests and employees.
May supervise Retail Stock staff.

Must be able to motivate staff to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to employees and guests.
Job Tasks Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service.
Supervise, train, coordinate, make recommendations for reviews for Retail Leads and Retail Sales Associates in assigned area.
Ensure that staff is trained in job functions and guest services.
Ensure that Seaside Company policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure that excellent guest service is provided.

Perform routine inventory counts and submit reports to Retail Assistant Manager or Retail Manager Handle guest concerns in a positive and friendly manner.
Write daily schedules in absence of Retail Manager or Retail Assistant Manager Oversee safe handling of Company money, including cash handling.
Report needed repairs to maintenance staff and technical services.
May train staff in OMRON (cash handling) and POS (point of sales) systems.
Recommend promotions and pay raises of staff to Retail Manager.
Establish and maintain cooperative work relationship with Operations Office, Cash Room, Security, Technical Services, Human Resources and other Seaside Company departments.
Keep staff updated on special events and promotions.
May present department training.
May supervise Retail Stock staff.
Must maintain confidentiality.
Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by Assistant and/or Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Relationships (Internal) All Santa Cruz Seaside Company departments.

Qualifications:
Training and Experience Must excel at providing outstanding Guest Service.
At least three months experience in a customer service environment performing cash handling duties, preferably in a lead role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work as a leader of a team and be able to motivate staff.
Ability to train, supervise, schedule, evaluate and monitor the work of staff.
Ability to quickly learn basic retail and merchandising knowledge and skill.
Ability to quickly learn Company policies and procedures.
Ability to make quick and effective decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and employees in a professional, positive and friendly manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep complete and accurate records.
Ability to quickly learn pager and radio communication system.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately.
Ability to use a computer to input and access data.
Ability to handle guest complaints.
Ability to maintain high standards of appearance for facilities and employees.
Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to read, understand and explain guides, safety programs, and other required documents.
Physical Requirements Able to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time.
Bi-manual dexterity.
Must have full use of arms and legs to operate equipment and to climb stairs.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds from ground to shoulder height occasionally with assistance.
Able to see and hear normal conversations.
Licenses / Insurance Valid U.

drivers license at time of hire.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
