Summary:
Leads by example for staff by providing the highest level of Guest Service.
Under general supervision, responsible for coordinating, training and supervising cart employees; operating and closing carts and maintaining or exceeding set goals in productivity, food cost and sales.
Trains and motivates staff to provide exceptional guest and employee service.

Must obtain a CA Food Handler card within 30 days of hire, or show proof of existing CA Food Handler card.
JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service.
Train and motivate staff to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to Employees and Guests.
Supervise, train, coordinate and evaluate all Food Service Cart Employees, including Espresso Cart.
Maintain safety and sanitation requirements as established by health code regulation and department policies.
Motivate and encourage Employees through daily reinforcement and coaching.
Cross train and develop staff for operational efficiency.
Develop and train to promote leaders.
Keep Operation Supervisor informed of significant concerns and problems.
Assist in controlling labor and cost of sales.
Responsible for checking and maintaining proper temperatures throughout storage, preparation, cooling, holding and serving of food items.
Complete daily maintenance checks on cart equipment.
Preprare weekly work schedule for staffing the carts.
Complete weekly and monthly inventory.
Check supplies and maintain stock levels.
Take hourly sale readings and calculate productivity.
Handle cash short and over forms for customers.
Perform duties of a Food Service Operator as required.
Assign and give breaks.
Clean machines as requested.
Prepare Employee Performance Evaluations.
Make recommendations for improvements in menus, food quality, training and Guest Service.
Make recommendations for updating procedures and training literature.
Attend staff meetings.
Promote company Employee events to the Employees.
Other duties as assigned.

All levels of Santa Cruz Seaside Company employees.

High volume of interaction with guests.
TRAINING AND
Experience:
Must excel at providing outstanding Guest Service.
At least 3 months of customer service in a foodservice establishment with some experience as a Lead or Supervisor.
Cash handling experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to train and motivate staff to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service.
Ability to work as a team leader:
train, motivate and supervise employees.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Ability to operate cash registers.
Ability to learn, comply and enforce all Food Service department and company policies.
Ability to stay focused on the job, while taking orders in a fast paced environment.

Ability to obtain CA Food Handler card within 30 days of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to walk, bend, push and pull carts, stretch,climb stairs and stand up for up to eight hours at a time.
Able to walk to and from different carts location.
Able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
Bi-manual dexterity.
Able to lift to waist level and to carry up to 45 pounds.
Able to hear and speak normal conversation.
Able to see to ensure quality of products and facilities.
