org Looking for Direct Support Professionals Looking for experienced support staff for a 58- year old man who lives with a developmental disability.
This individual lives independently in his own home, with a live-in care provider and 24/7 support from his team.
This individual is a home-body and remaining in his own home is very important to him.
Building trusting and working relationships with staff is important to this individual to feel safe around others.
He requires personal care with toileting, showering and dressing.
He is somewhat non-verbal, with limited speech, but does understand much of what is going on around him and people communicating to him.
He is looking for caring staff to join his team to support him in living a healthy lifestyle, participating in community activities, and building strong connections.
Rate of Pay:
$24.
00/per hour We are looking for somebody who can support this individual with all of the following, but not limited to:
- Physical activities - Community engagement and activities - Developing healthy communication techniques - Behavioral support Skills that would be beneficial in working with this individual:
- Creativity with physical and community activities - Strong communication skills - Organization - Familiarity with a healthy lifestyle The ideal support staff would have some experience with:
- Supported living or other in-home care - Working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities Current support needed:

Job functions:
The duties of this position also rely on an individual's ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate with others.
This includes, but not limited to:
? Participate in team meetings to discuss services ? Provide input for program planning and implementation ? Communicate with your Facilitator concerning services, trainings, etc.
? Maintain necessary individual records and evaluations ? Participate in development of support plans Duties:
Implement training and support services tailored to an individual.
This requires the knowledge of Areas of training, support, and monitoring include, but are not limited to:
? Housing ? Personal finance ? Mobility and accessibility ? Health and safety ? Relationships ? Recreation ? Self advocacy ? Job training ? Decision making ? Hygiene ? Personal care ? Problem solving ?
