Specific job details and time allotments spent on various Finance tasks are subject to change at the discretion of the Accounts Receivable Team Lead but will include duties such as:
Finance Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Review of past due accounts in Finance custom software program Email payment courtesy notices to all past due accounts as set forth by AR Team Lead Email 1 of 9 courtesy contacts as set forth by the AR Team Lead Forward pertinent information to appropriate Accounts Receivable Accountants Contact members or brokers with regards to returned mail Coordinate Address updates with the Underwriting department Update member contact information Web enable members as needed Preparation of the daily deposit Distribution of incoming Finance Mail Prepare member billing statements for mailing Stuff statements Bi -monthly Dividends Perform additional general administrative department tasks and projects as assigned Required Skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience with Adobe Acrobat along with aptitude to learn custom software Must be detail-oriented, including outstanding proofreading skills Must have a hands on, whatever it takes approach to daily work Strong organization skills, high energy, and customer service attitude necessary Ability to type 45-50 words per minute Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills Must possess and maintain strong customer service orientation skills, both internally and externally Demonstrated success using other general office data processing skills, i.
e.
data entry, mail merges, creating labels, bulk mailings, etc.
Ability to interact on a professional level with all of AMS personnel, as well as clients, vendors, insureds, brokers and all internal and external constituents Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment General office machine experience, familiarity with fax machines, copiers, printers, etc.
Must be extremely professional, friendly and approachable Impeccable verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects/tasks and to be able to prioritize with a high sense of urgency at times.
Multi-line phone reception experience is helpful Must have adequate hearing to perform job tasks While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, reach or sit for up to 3 hours at a time.
Must have adequate vision (with corrective lenses if needed) to clearly view computer screen The employee may occasionally life and/or move up to 10-20 poundd Education High school graduate, some college strongly preferred Experience One to three year related administrative work experience required Finance or accounting background preferred but not required Experience and interest working within the insurance industry or nonprofit a plus Job Type:
