Part Time, 18 - 24 hours per week, $22.
65 - $24.
10 per hour Responsibilities and Activities Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Maintain accurate records in digital and hard copy, including ledgers, journals, receipts, invoices, and accounting files relating to grants.
Process incoming payments by check, credit card and EFT.
Prepare and deliver bank deposits.
Receive, process and reconcile bank statements.
Assist with preparing monthly and periodic financial statements.
Assist with preparation for annual audit.
Assist with preparation and distribution of annual IRS forms.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
Perform administrative and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills Understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles (e.
g coding of expenses).
Moderate to advanced experience with Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data; ability to evaluate transactions for different programs.
Strong math and research skills.
High level written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with phone use and email.
Proficiency with 10-key operation.
Ability to use sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Willingness to take initiative to solve problems, learn and make improvements.
Comfortable working with a diverse population, particularly seniors.
Bilingual skills a plus.
