Work on the Beach at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk! Great and help guests as they come and enjoy a seaside amusement park.
We operate 3 stores and you get to work in all of them! Sell merchandise to guests using point of sales system.
Assist guests with purchases and questions.
Provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to guests.
Sell and place merchandise.
Help maintain a fun, clean and organized working environment.
Staff typically work up to 25 hours a week in the Spring and 30-40 during the Summer season, but it really depends on your needs and when you are available! Our scheduling style works around your school and extra curricular needs so that you can have a fun job and be successful in all aspects of your life.
UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS Wear Company issue uniform and ID.
Shifts fall within possible operating hours of 9a.
m.
to 9p.
m.
in the Spring and 8a.
m.
to 10p.
m.
during the Summer, seven days a week.
Must be 16 years old to work overtime hours or closing shifts.
Must be willing to conform to company hygiene and grooming standards.
JOB TASKS ? Greet customers as they enter the store.
? Answer customer questions in positive friendly manner.
? Make sales, and exchanges using Retail Pro Point of Sale system.
? Assist customers with purchases.
? Restock merchandise ? Follow verbal and written directions to perform specific duties.
? Keep work area clean and organized.
? Perform closing jobs at the end of each shift.
? Examine currency for counterfeits.
? Perform specific projects requested by Sun Shops management.
QUALIFICATIONS ? Cash register and customer service experience is helpful.
? Outgoing and friendly KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES ? Ability to make transactions on point of sale system.
? Ability to learn cash handling procedures.
? Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
? Ability to learn to handle difficult customer service situations.
? Ability to communicate clearly.
? Ability to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to guests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ? Able to assist guests in stores.
? Able to walk to and from stores ? Able to use a step ladder.
? Able to lift up to 25lbs from floor to shoulder height.
? Able to climb stairs.
? Able to restock merchandise from low to high placements.
? Able to stand and operate register for up to eight hours.
? Able to move boxes and or fixtures which would include pushing, pulling and stooping.
? Able to open and close store doors and windows.
